Job Summary and Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for designing and generating new applications for intraoperative cancer imaging. The primary responsibilities include: 

 

  • Perform optical imaging experiments

  • Participate in optical system design & optimization

  • Being the link between the product and mechanical design teams

  • Review on microscope imaging tool designs, sub-assemblies, and finished products

  • Assist in the collection and processing of clinical samples from local hospitals

  • Assist in ad hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor


Job Qualifications

  • Good MPhil, MSc, or BSc Honour Degree in Engineering or Science. Preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, and Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques (e.g., microscope, biological sample handling)

  • Experience in optical imaging is preferred

  • Coding knowledge is desired (e.g., MATLAB)

  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills through innovation, hypothesizing, design and implementation, analytically and quantitatively

  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese

  • Graduation Year: on or before 2022

  • Fields of Study: Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Optical / Biomedical Engineering / related disciplines

  • Education Level (obtained): Master / Postgraduate Diploma / Bachelor

  • Required Level of Work Experience: None

    Start Date: September 2022 
    Location: Hong Kong Science and Technology Park
    Salary: 20-32k+ depending on qualifications and experience
    Annual leave: We offer all new employees 16 days of annual leave – Rest is important!
